The grand engagement party of Akash Ambani and Shloka Mehta was a starry affair with some of the biggest names from Bollywood and other celebrities in attendance.

B-Towns stars including Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Abhishek Bachchan, Madhuri Dixit, Alia Bhatt, and Ranbir Kapoor, among others, turned up in their festive outfits to take part in the grand celebration that was held at the Ambani residence Antilia.

Shah Rukh Khan, who looked dapper in a dhoti and kurta, played the host at the party. Apart from entertaining the audience with his witty remarks, King Khan also performed at the event.

Akash and Shloka's friends danced to Gal Meethi Meethi Bol from Aisha, while Shah Rukh matched steps with the group. He was joined by other Bollywood stars including Arjun Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan.

Shah Rukh's family was also present at the event, looking classy in their respective attires.

Besides, Nita Ambani danced to the song Shubhaarambh from the movie Kai Po Che, to usher in a new beginning. She got a standing ovation from husband Mukesh Ambani.

Antilia was all decked up for the grand party. Karen Tran, a luxury floral designer from California decorated the venue.

Guests at the party were served delicious dishes, from Gujarati and Rajasthani cuisines to Italian food. Parisian luxury bakery Laduree set up a separate parlour that displayed some of their best pastries including Marie Antoinette cake, Praline bomb (a firm combination of almonds and caramelised sugar), Opera (a French cake with layers of almond sponge cake soaked in coffee syrup, layered with ganache and coffee buttercream, and covered in a chocolate glaze), French toast and their famous hot chocolate. Guests were also treated to Rigatoni gelato.

Another highlight of the grand party were huge transparent umbrellas that had wax chocolate hanging from them.

The star-studded bonanza lasted through the night and finally ended early this morning.
